MONA has achieved remarkable success with the launch of two offline free markets and is eagerly preparing for the third one, scheduled for July 23, 2023! The MONA Free Market has become a grand showcase of generosity, offering hundreds of items for giveaway on each occasion. This incredible feat is made possible by our team of dedicated volunteers, standing alongside MONA's founder, Quinn. These enthusiastic volunteers are none other than our cherished MONA members, who themselves once received free items from the MONA Facebook Group as they embraced life in Korea. Now, driven by a desire to give back to the vibrant MONA community, they generously contribute their time and organizational skills to make each event a memorable success. Let's take a moment to meet and appreciate these friendly and selfless helpers who are the heart and soul of MONA's endeavors!

by Thai An Kim MONA has officially gone from online only to offline! On May 13, 2023, Quinn P., founder of MONA, hosted the first MONA Free Market in person at Vegan & Beyond in Seoul. She said, “At MONA, we believe in sharing and community building, and this event is our way of bringing those values to life.” People were able to drop off their donation, mail them to Vegan & Beyond if they could not make it to the event, and set up their own table if they had more than 10 items. Thanks to a group of volunteers, over 300 items were neatly sorted into categories like clothes, shoes, bags, etc.
by Thai An Kim Remember when you moved into your first apartment? How exciting to have a place of your own, but also overwhelming with all the things you need to buy. But suddenly, like an answered prayer, a friendly neighbor was giving away some of his furniture and was even happy to help move them into your apartment! As you looked around your furnished apartment, you smiled and felt a sense of peace and hope that even though moving out was hard, it was going to be alright. That is the kind of feeling and community that MONA fosters, where expats around Korea can post items and services for free so that someone in need can receive them, no questions asked.
by Karman Leung Have you ever wondered what to do with items you don’t need, but are still in good condition? What about finding yourself in a situation where you’d like to save money or want to help reduce waste? This often happens when you’re moving house or reorganizing your space. Instead of tossing perfectly good items or going through the hassle of trying to buy and sell, there is an easy, free alternative: freecycling.
