Surplus ice cream with nowhere to go
Ben & Jerry’s had surplus ice cream in Korea that would otherwise have been written off, while still taking up storage and adding disposal costs.
What MONA set up
MONA matched the surplus with charities and community organisations across Seoul that could use it, and coordinated the redistribution.
Results
• ₩70M worth of ice cream redistributed instead of being written off
• ₩10M in storage and disposal costs avoided
• 4,500+ people reached across Seoul through 40 organisations
“MONA helped us donate ₩70 million won worth of ice cream to 40 charities in Seoul while saving on storage and disposal costs!”
