MONA has received the Award for Sustainability at the second annual British Business Awards, hosted by the British Chamber of Commerce in Korea (BCCK). The awards were presented on June 12, 2026, at the Four Seasons Hotel Seoul, alongside the chamber's King Charles III Birthday Dinner, organised in partnership with Dwight School Seoul.
The British Business Awards recognise companies and organisations that advance U.K.-Korea trade, sustainability, workplace inclusion and public health, across five categories. Winners were chosen by a judging panel that included Korea Times publisher Oh Young-jin, Dwight Seoul Head of School Tom Ferguson and British Ambassador Colin Crooks.
Why MONA was recognised
MONA was recognised for helping businesses reduce waste while delivering measurable social and environmental results, and specifically for removing the operational barriers that stop companies from donating surplus food.
Through its sustainability platform, MONA has redistributed more than two tons of surplus food to vulnerable groups and supported local NGOs, connecting companies that hold surplus food and products with charities and community organisations that can use them.
